legit money making apps

In this post, we’ll explore some of the best money-making apps that can help you earn extra cash in your spare time.

From cashback apps to answering surveys, these apps offer a variety of ways to boost your income and achieve your financial goals.

Let’s dive in...

Survey apps that can help you make extra money

A paid survey is one of the easiest ways to make money online because you are not required to perform any task aside from answering questions.

While many spam survey sites collect your personal information without paying you for taking surveys, here’s a list of survey sites that we put together.

You will get to answer questions on various topics while you get rewarded for completing surveys.

These surveys can be filled out while watching TV.

It won’t be the highest-paying gig, but it’s a great way for you (or maybe your teenager) to make some extra cash.

Sign up with them, and you will get notified about available surveys as well as a reward for completing them.

Also, curious if these survey sites are legit.

We put together that article to help you answer for yourself.

So let’s get to our first survey app/site.

Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie is a legit money-making app that allows users to earn rewards by completing online surveys.

The app is free to join and offers a variety of surveys on different topics, including consumer products, entertainment, and more.

Users can redeem their rewards for cash via PayPal or e-gift cards.

Survey Junkie is accredited by the Better Business Bureau and has a positive reputation among users for its transparency and reliability.

However, it’s important to note that the amount of money you can earn with Survey Junkie may vary depending on the number of surveys available and your eligibility for them.

PS: I tried answering surveys with Survey Junkie for an hour and recorded my results in this video here.

Swagbucks

Swagbucks themselves wrote an article explaining that it’s a great way for teens to make some extra money.

Swagbucks creates relationships with online brands and makes financial deals with them.

They get paid for providing data or results to their partners.

When Swagbucks gets paid, they are paying a portion of this to their members as a reward.

If you’re just looking for a bit of extra pocket change for fun, it might be a good fit.

But if you want to really grow something, then you should start a side hustle instead.

Still, wondering if Swagbucks is legit or not???

Watch this video, where I spill out some hidden secrets about the company.

InboxDollars

InboxDollars is another app that offers various ways to earn money by completing simple online tasks such as taking surveys, watching videos, playing games, and redeeming coupons.

The app has been around since 2000 and has paid out over $57 million in cash rewards to its members.

MyPoints

MyPoints app has been around since 1996 and has paid out over $236 million in rewards to its members.

MyPoints is a legitimate way to make money online and can be a good option for those looking to earn a little extra cash in their spare time.

The app offers a $10 gift card bonus to new members upon sign-up.

Users can redeem their earnings for gift cards, travel miles, or PayPal cash.

Overall, MyPoints can be a good option for those looking to earn rewards for their online activities, but it may not be the most lucrative option available.

MobileXpression

MobileXpression is a data collection app for Android and iOS that pays users for sharing their data.

The app routes users’ internet traffic through a virtual private network (VPN) for data collection purposes.

Users can earn rewards by simply installing the app and keeping it on their devices.

The company may also send occasional surveys to users to answer.

Users can redeem their earnings for gift cards or other rewards.

However, some users have reported issues with receiving rewards or with the app itself.

Overall, MobileXpression can be a good option for those looking to earn rewards for their data usage, but it is important to keep in mind that the earnings may be relatively small and not consistent.

Earning money from purchases you made, at any rate, feels great. Here are some of the best cashback that I have used.

Rakuten

The company was formerly Ebates (when I began using them) and was purchased by the Japanese company called Rakuten for $1 Billion back in 2014.

Previously you were required to go to Rakuten (Ebates) and shop through their portal.

I always forgot to do this and never made money.

Then, I found…  the Chrome extension.

The strategy that I use is downloading the Chrome extension, which alerts me any time I’m on a website that works with Rakuten.

I then just click a button, activate Rakuten, and get paid a commission.

So you can get paid for literally doing what you were already going to do!

As of this article creation (2020) I’ve made a little over $1,700 by simply clicking a button.

How does Rakuten work

If I had to go to Ebates.com or Rakuten.com to shop each time, I would never do it.

But because of the Chrome extension, it’s a no-brainer.

Here’s a referral link where you get $10 for free if you go through my link (I get paid too).

If you’d like to catch a couple of videos of me showing you the program in-depth, check this out.

Drop

Like Rakuten, Drop is a cashback app that rewards users for shopping at their favorite stores.

The app works by linking users’ credit and debit cards to the app and then automatically giving them cashback rewards for purchases made at participating merchants.

TopCashback

TopCashback is a cashback app that offers users cashback rewards for shopping at their favorite stores.

The app works by linking users to participating merchants and then giving them a percentage of their purchase back in cashback rewards.

The site is free to join and free to use.

You can earn over $400 a year when you shop from thousands of top US brands using this app.

Ibotta

what is ibotta

Like Rakuten, Ibotta is a similar company that has been growing as well.

Depending on the store and the current promotion, cashback amounts might range from 1% to 20%.

All of these tiny amounts build up over time, and you might wind up with a large sum of money for free at the end of the year.

We have this comparison post if you’d like to compare Rakuten with Ibotta and others.

Checkout 51

Checkout 51 is a cashback app that rewards users for grocery shopping, gas purchases, and online shopping.

The app offers a simple, easy-to-use interface and is free to use.

Fetch Rewards

Fetch Rewards is a free-to-download mobile app that rewards users with points for every receipt they upload through the app.

Users can redeem the points for free gift cards or other prizes.

The app is available on both android and apple app Store.

Fetch Rewards is generally considered safe to use and has not been associated with any major security issues.

Apps that pay you to play games

These apps offer a variety of games, including trivia, puzzles, and casino games that you can play in exchange for money or gift cards.

While these apps can be a fun way to earn extra cash, it’s important to be aware of the potential downsides.

Some apps may have a high payout threshold, meaning it may take a while to earn enough to cash out.

Additionally, some apps may require you to watch ads or complete other tasks in order to earn rewards.

Overall, apps that pay you to play games can be a good way to make money in your spare time, but it’s important to do your research and choose reputable apps with fair payout policies.

Some such popular apps are….

  1. Swagbucks
  2. Mistplay
  3. InboxDollars
  4. CashPirate
  5. AppNana
  6. Lucktastic
  7. HQ Trivia
  8. Long Game Savings
  9. Bananatic
  10. Gamehag

DoorDash

Doordash screenshot

DoorDash is a food delivery platform that allows drivers to earn money by delivering food to customers.

Drivers report earning up to $20 an hour, but it’s important to work during peak hours and be selective about which orders to accept.

DoorDash has a quick approval process and fast payouts, making it a popular choice for people looking to make money quickly.

However, some drivers report low pay, even with peak pay, and high expenses such as gas and other fees.

It’s important to consider all the numbers, including taxes and expenses, before deciding if DoorDash is worth it for you.

Decluttr

Decluttr is a side hustle app that allows you to sell unwanted items like books, games, and electronics for cash.

Decluttr offers lower prices than market rates but is a good option for those who want to get rid of items quickly.

The app also offers other ways to earn extra money, such as referring friends, registering as a student, and using coupon codes.

If you want to dive deeper into selling used items, here are some of the guides that I put together.

Sweatcoin

Sweatcoin is a mobile app that pays users for walking and engaging in physical activities.

Users can earn virtual currencies called sweat coins, which can be redeemed for various rewards and products.

Trim

Trim is not a money-making app.

Instead, it is a personal finance app that helps you save money on autopilot by analyzing your spending patterns to find ways to save, negotiating bills on your behalf, canceling old subscriptions, and more.

Nielsen Mobile App

Nielsen Mobile App is not a typical side hustle app, but it can be considered a passive way to earn money.

It pays you $50 per year to keep the app on your browsing device.

To conclude, legit money-making apps

Now we know that there are many legit/real money-making apps available that can help you earn extra cash on the side.

From taking surveys, getting cash backs, and delivering food to selling your old clothes and negotiating bills, these apps offer a variety of ways to make money in your spare time.
