There are many reasons why you would need $1,000 fast.
Maybe you’re behind on your payments, or you want to fulfill a financial goal right away.
any case, I’ll teach you how to make 1000 a week in this post.
Whatever the reason you need fast money, there are plenty of ways to achieve this without much work.
It’s possible to make that much money in a week, maybe even in less time.

I suggest you employ a strategy that utilizes multiple items on the list below.
The more you manage to accomplish, the more you get paid. It’s that simple.
If after reading, you still have no idea where to start, I’d recommend a system that can help you form a business game plan.
And you’ll want to check out the tools that I use to run my business projects, as they’ll be helpful for you as well.
After you get yourself out of your current financial pickle, you can keep using your strategy to make a few extra thousand dollars every month from now.
Who knows?
Maybe being short on cash could be a thing of the past for you.
[WARNING: You might not be able to make $1,000 from only doing a single idea. Some of them will yield large results, but some of them will be less profitable. But by combining your efforts with a few of the ideas, you’ll be able to meet the $1k/week mark. Good luck!]
How to Make 1000 a Week Online and Offline
1. Answer Paid Surveys.
Companies will pay top dollar to do market research.
You, as a consumer, can bank on this fact and start answering surveys for money.
Many popular paid survey sites pay participants through PayPal.
So you could earn a few extra dollars here and there simply by giving your opinions on certain products.
I have to note that answering surveys isn’t going to cut it if you want to make as much as $1,000 a week.
You’ll need to research some paid focus groups.
For example, there are some focus groups on Survey Junkie that will pay you by answering simple questions.
These high-paying surveys usually take around an hour to complete, so you should be able to get to your $1,000 goal if you use your time wisely.
Let’s say you’ve signed up for Survey Junkie.
I suggest that you go to your Settings and select the option where you’ll be notified whenever a new focus group becomes available.
These opportunities don’t last very long, so make sure you jump on them right away when you get notified.
Aside from Survey Junkie, here are some other paid survey sites you can join:
2. Start a Blog.
One of the ways you can make fast money online is by starting your own blog.
You can make $1,000 online and much more if you’re consistent about posting.
There are many platforms out there like Wix that make it easy for someone who doesn’t even have coding and design experience.
Yes, making money off a blog will take time. Don’t expect to make $1,000 instantly with this method.
But once you get to that profitable level, you can make $1,000 in your sleep as your blog will be online 24/7 and available for customers to connect with you.
Think of your blog as a business. You can launch this high-profit business at around $3 per month, less than your coffee order. And did you know that you can actually sell a blog? If you work at yours hard enough, flipping your blog is a real possibility.
If you’re an above-average writer and you have plans on dominating a niche, blogging is definitely the way to go to create a long-term side hustle.

3. Work as a Tutor

Are you well-versed in a particular subject? You can impart your knowledge online and get paid handsomely.
You could even teach skills that aren’t taught in schools.
However, teaching traditional subjects to children seems to be the most popular option in this case.
My favorite tutoring platform is Preply which pays native English speakers to teach the language to students in China.
The average earning rate for an online tutor is $22 per hour.
Best of all, you don’t even have to prepare your curriculum or teaching materials. It’s just a matter of logging on, teaching your assigned students, and getting paid.
Making $1,000 a week is really easy through online tutoring.
For example, working 40 hours a week on Preply could quickly get you that amount.
4. Collect Sign-Up Bonuses.
Many sites and apps will pay you by simply registering.
So yes, you’ll likely earn smaller amounts with these sign-up bonuses, but they can add up.
Some sites will even pay you more for creating a profile and verifying your email address.
This method of earning money is super quick. It’s just a matter of finding where to sign up.
Here are good places to start:
- Rakuten: $20
- InboxDollars: $5
It could take you only a few minutes to sign up to these apps, and that’s an instant $40+ right there!
I suggest researching which sites are giving away free money without having to exert much effort.
5. Earn Referral Bonuses
Speaking of sites giving away free money, many of them will do so if you refer your friends and family.
So instead of only getting sign-up bonuses, you can earn more money by sending out your personalized referral links to people.
When others use this link to sign up for the same sites, you essentially get a commission.
To illustrate your possible earnings, here’s what you can get for referring people:
- Rakuten: $25 per referral
- Inbox Dollars: $1 per referral + 30% of their earnings
- Swagbucks: $3 per referral + 10% of their earnings
Let’s say you get a friend in on this action. All your welcome and referral bonuses from all these sites could instantly get you $120.
Think about how much more you can earn if you get more people to sign up too!
6. Work as a Virtual Assistant.
Virtual assistants are super in demand these days.
So what exactly do they do?
People hire VAs from sites like Flexjobs, Fiverr, and Freelancer to complete online tasks that they otherwise won’t have time to do. They’re essentially highly capable secretaries.
As a VA, you’re expected to do light administrative tasks like responding to emails and bookkeeping.
However, being a VA could entail so much more.
Depending on your skill set, you may be tasked to post articles, update social media profiles, and do some research.
You could make good money being someone’s assistant online, and it doesn’t require too much work.
You just need to be organized, efficient, amiable, and diligent about being online most of the time.

7. Earn Money While Shopping.

If you’re going to do some shopping anyway, you might as well make some money off of it.
My favorite cashback app is Rakuten.
You basically buy everything that you usually would with this app, meaning groceries, clothes, medicine, gadgets, and much more.
The app will automatically give you some of your money back with every purchase.
Sure, this may not be the most efficient way to make $1,000 a week, but it’s still a viable way to earn money here and there.
Unfortunately, this method is incredibly overlooked because not many people earn money back when they lose it by shopping.
Rakuten is entirely free to use, and I suggest you give it a try because you’re going to buy groceries anyway.
As I mentioned above, you get a $20 sign-up bonus by simply redeeming your first offer.
8. Be a Freelancer.
Anyone can profit off their skills on the internet.
Whatever your field is, doing some freelance work online can easily make you $1,000 a week.
If you’re cute, you could sell your photos. Good at numbers, you can work as a bookkeeper.
If you’re a talented graphic designer, you can get paid to make company logos.
Unsure about what kind of freelance jobs you can get?
Check out the jobs on sites like Flexjobs and Fiverr.
9. Write Content For Websites.
It’s common knowledge these days that most websites don’t write their own content.
Instead, they outsource the job to freelance writers.
You can get gigs as a freelance writer and produce articles on virtually any subject.
You don’t even have to be an expert on a particular niche.
All it takes is a little research, and you’re well on the way to writing an original piece.
To improve the speed and quality of articles, you can take the help of artificial intelligence.
Check out Appsumo for lifetime discounted deals on such tools.
Freelance writers are usually paid per word, but there are some platforms that have set rates for articles.
I’d recommend setting up a Flexjobs profile and finding gigs there as well.
10. Start Investing.
Finally, the smartest way to accumulate $1,000 over time is to start investing.
I suggest that you put your spare cash into a high-interest savings account so your funds can grow in your sleep.
I know you need $1,000 right now, but investing as soon as possible helps secure your financial future, so you never have to work hard for extra money here and there.
If you’d like to try stocks, these companies make it really easy to get started and will give you free stock once you set up your account.
Trying to come up with money quickly is a stressful process, and you want to avoid this as much as possible.
Make your current funds work for you and let them multiply.

11. Make a Budget.
And, of course, you’re going to have to stick to this budget. I can’t stand budgeting, but it’s super important.
Maybe you find yourself strapped for cash before each month ends because you don’t know how much money is going in and how much is going out.
Plan out how you’re going to spend your money and keep the splurging to a minimum.
You can even automatically reduce your bills by using apps like Truebill or Trim.
Trim will analyze your ongoing expenses and make recommendations about subscriptions you might want to end.
Best of all, this miracle app will automatically negotiate some bills on your behalf, like your car insurance and cable bills.
Trust me, being more frugal and careful about your money will make a difference in your financial freedom.
Yes, it’s going to take some willpower, but it’ll be worth it!
12. Negotiate a Pay Raise

Finding a new job is not always the solution to making more money as a traditionally employed person.
However, depending on what field you’re in and your performance at work, it’s possible to charge more for your services.
Most of us don’t even consider asking for a raise.
Instead, we resign ourselves to the initial salary that we agreed upon when we took up the said job.
Think about your contribution to your company.
You might actually be selling yourself short with your current salary.
The next time you earn a good performance review or you close some big deal, think of this as proof to your boss that you deserve a pay raise.
Women, in particular, have a hard time asking for more money.
So if you’re nervous about negotiating, practice beforehand or do some research.

13. Turn to a Friend or Family Member for Help.
If you’re really in a bind, sometimes the only thing you can resort to is asking for help. It can be challenging for some people to admit struggle and approach others.
If you can get over your shyness, a generous friend or family member can give you a short-term loan.
I must note that money matters can ruin relationships. With this in mind, be honest with the lender and be upfront about repayment terms.
Borrowing from friends and family should be done properly.
Do your best to pay your dues on time. If, for some reason, you can’t keep your word, talk to the person who loaned you money and explain your current difficulty.
You might not be able to pay, but at least they know that you’re transparent, with the full intention to pay back what you owe.
14. Refinance Your Debt.
Gaining financial freedom is going to be extra tricky if you carry a lot of debt.
You need to overcome this hurdle before you can work towards your savings.
One way to manage your debt is to refinance it.
The primary benefit of refinancing debt is that it considerably lowers your interest rates.
By doing so, you’ll get to save more money during repayments each month.
You could potentially earn back $1,000 or maybe more.
If you don’t know where to start when it comes to debt consolidation, Credible is worth checking out.
On Credible, you can see your options from different lenders depending on your current financial circumstances.
Credible is, in fact, credible because they’ll give you $200 if you find a better deal on refinancing elsewhere.
That’s how confident they are in their ability to lower debt.
15. Test Websites.
Another way to make an easy $1,000 is to get paid testing websites.
Like with paid survey sites, companies are willing to pay regular folk like you and me to review the efficacy of their product, in this case, a website.
Even major companies like Airbnb, Twitter, and Instagram sometimes pay people to test their user interfaces.
16. Sell Crafts.
If you’re the creative type, you’ve probably been to markets where artists sell their wares.
You could do essentially the same thing online by selling something that you make.
Handcrafted items have a certain appeal to them, so you probably won’t have trouble selling yours online.
Plus, setting up an online store has never been easier!
Online marketplaces like Etsy make it possible for small-time crafters to make it big.
You can sell almost anything you can think of. For example, your store could sell your homemade jewelry, decor items, apparel, home accessories, novelty items, and more.
If your product is unique, there’s definitely a population on the internet that would want to get their hands on them.

17. Take out a Loan.
Yes, I made a big deal about getting out of debt before.
However, if you need $1,000 now and running out of options, then taking out a loan might be your last resort.
I’d say it’s OK to take out a loan, but with some conditions.
First, I urge you to avoid payday loans. Sure, with a payday loan, you could get that $1,000 really fast.
However, you’ll likely end up paying way more than what you borrowed because the interest rates are generally huge.
Instead, Credible is a better platform as it helps people make better borrowing decisions by simplifying the process of comparing and taking out loans.
What should you consider before taking out a personal loan?
First, check the terms and see if they’re manageable.
Then, make sure that you have the ability to pay off the loan as quickly as possible.
You want to rake in interests and penalties, only to have your debt spiral out of control.
18. Find a New Job.

Maybe your current job just won’t cut it.
You might be having a hard time admitting to yourself that you’re stuck in a dead-end job and you’ve run out of opportunities.
It looks like it’s time to look for a new job with a higher salary.
If you’re able to quit your current job without having to worry about bills for a while, then it might be a good idea to spend the next few weeks or months looking for new employment.
Did you know that getting a new job with a higher salary every few years can amp up your lifetime income way more than if you stay with the same company?
Of course, all of this depends on your industry and your current financial situation.
If it’s not possible for you to quit your current job, there’s no harm in applying for other jobs and seeing what kind of salaries you can earn elsewhere.
19. Hold Your Money Tighter.
I mean this metaphorically (although my wife would argue that I physically do this).
Cutting down on spending here and there can dramatically increase your savings every month.
Even if you don’t have a budget, you can see a change in how much more money you can accumulate by being mindful of your spending.
Start with minor changes. Let’s say you order coffee from Starbucks every morning.
Instead of spending that $5 every day, you could brew your own coffee at home and take it to work in a vacuum flask.
Maybe you eat out during lunch, and it usually costs you around $10.
You can cut out that expense by prepping at home and bringing meals to work instead.
That’s an instant extra $50 right there.
Think about all the small luxuries that you overlook.
Maybe you’re spending $20 each month for a subscription you don’t use.
Perhaps you buy too much fresh produce that ends up going bad in the fridge.
Make minor spending cuts. I promise you’ll be surprised about how wasteful we tend to be at times.
If you need something to help you with money management, I suggest you check out Personal Capital.
You don’t have to pay anything to use it, and it’s an excellent way to manage your whole financial situation in one place.
20. Write an Ebook.
Whether you have a penchant for writing or you have a unique experience that’s worth sharing in written form, publishing your authored Ebook is an excellent way to make extra money.
The most efficient way you can make money off your Ebook is by publishing it through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing.
With AKDP, you’ll own the rights to the book entirely and be able to set the price.
In addition, you get to keep 70% of the sales, and Amazon’s millions of customers worldwide will be your audience.
Yes, writing an Ebook (maybe even a book for kids?) will take a lot of time and dedication.
If you need some encouragement, check out some of the bestselling books on this platform.
You’ll see that most of them are self-published and are not very long at all.
21. Move Somewhere Cheaper.
If you don’t need $1,000 instantly, one viable move for you is to pack up and live somewhere else more cheaply.
For most people, the thing that eats up most of their monthly budget is accommodation costs.
Relocating to a smaller space or an area with a lower cost of living could significantly improve how much you save in a month.
If you’re like most, you probably live in a house that’s too big for you, which likely leads to extra costs all over the place.
You might be paying rent for a space that you can’t even utilize. Larger spaces mean higher heating and cooling costs too.
If you move somewhere cheaper, maintenance won’t be as expensive.
We’re supposed to live within our means, not beyond it.

22. Teach a Course Online.
I already suggested online tutoring, but creating a course is a little different.
Please note that much like blogging, creating courses is the fastest way to make $1,000.
So how does it work?
If you’re an expert in a particular field, you can share your knowledge with others for a price.
For example, you could hold online lectures exclusive to paying viewers.
The primary advantage of this side hustle is that it’s only labor-intensive in the creation part.
Once you’ve developed your course, there’s not much you have to do to earn money.
If you’re interested in this method, I suggest you check out Thinkific, Podia, or Teachable.
This platform makes it easy for everybody to build professional-looking courses.
The next step would be to generate traffic for your course so more people will want to sign up for it.
Experts from different fields have made thousands of dollars by offering courses online.
You could do it too!
23. Sell Your Stuff.
Another common way people get out of a financial bind is to sell stuff they own.
This is maybe the fastest way you can get a large sum of money, especially if you have a lot of high-value things that people will want to buy.
For example, you can sell your computer, furniture, collectibles, or old phones.
It might pain you to get rid of some stuff, but it is a viable way to declutter and make fast money.
Take a look at the stuff you have lying around and pick out what’s valuable.
If you don’t know where to start, eBay is the most popular site where people sell their old stuff.

24. Rent Out Your Space.
Speaking of unused things, you could also profit from your unused spaces.
For example, if you have spare bedrooms in your house or a guest house, you can rent those spaces out to people.
If you have the means to make cozy accommodations, you could use Airbnb.
The great thing about renting out spaces is that you don’t have to do it all the time.
You can choose when to make your rooms available whenever you’re in need of extra money.
Putting up an Airbnb listing can be particularly lucrative if you live in an area that tourists flock to.
I’m a huge fan of Airbnb and one of the ways that we make our income.
If you don’t have unused living spaces, you could rent out your attic space with a site like Neighbor.
25. Drive for Lyft
Becoming a freelance driver is a tried and true option for earning money within a flexible time frame.
For this reason, services like Lyft are a godsend.
Since your work hours depend entirely on your preference, it’s up to you how much you want to earn.
In fact, being a Lyft driver is so flexible that you have the option only to accept passengers when you’re already driving.
For example, you can make your work route profitable by taking some people along for the ride.
Earning $1,000 within a week with Lyft is definitely doable.
If you decide to take the plunge, make sure your own car insurance covers you for this new endeavor.
Think about the extra wear and tear this could bring to your car.
26. Busk
You may think that street performers don’t make much money.
In truth, if you pick the right time and place, you can easily make that $1,000 in a week by busking.
I actually had ‘to busk’ on my bucket list and it was something I wanted to try – it’s a lot of fun – our goal wasn’t even to make money and I walked away with like $40 cash!
Busking is also an excellent way to build your confidence as a performer.
If this is something that you’d like to pursue, keep an eye for busy periods in your town and areas that get a lot of foot traffic.
Your goal as a busker is to perform where you’re going to be most visible.
27. Pet Sit
If you’re an animal lover, taking care of other people’s pets could be the best gig for you to make an easy $1,000.
Pet owners usually pay top dollar to have their pets looked after.
Start by finding clients in your neighborhood.
You can watch your neighbor’s dog for a couple of hours in the day while they’re at work.
You can even make arrangements to look after their pet on a longer-term basis.
If you know your neighbors are going out of town for vacation, step up and offer to take care of their pets for them.
You can easily make several hundred dollars in a few days just by walking, feeding, and maybe grooming your neighbor’s pets.
If you feel iffy about approaching people to tell them about your pet-sitting services, you can create a profile on Rover.com.
It’s a site that connects pet owners to pet carers based on proximity.
Check out some other weird ways of making money here.
28. Rent Out Your Stuff

If you have a couple of valuables that you don’t have the heart to sell, you can always rent them out to people.
Let’s say you have a sweet guitar, photography equipment, an exercise machine, or a car.
Why do you have to rent out stuff through a platform?
Sites like Buro will ensure you in case something happens to your property.
Assuming that you’re going to come across decent renters, you should have an extra $1,000 in no time, especially if you carry in-demand commodities.
29. Sell Plasma
Selling plasma is a great way to earn extra money for something that you already have.
It could also help save a life, which is a bonus.
Yes, you can’t donate plasma every day, but you can earn up to $400 with one plasma collection session.
These sessions usually take around 60-90 minutes.
Are you interested in selling blood? First, you have to be between 18 to 65 years of age.
Of course, your viability as a plasma donor will be subject to a medical check at your nearest collection clinic.
If you meet all the requirements, then give some of your precious life force away for money.
30. Use your Car to Advertise
If you’re going to be driving around anyway, you might as well turn your car into a mobile billboard.
Companies like Wrapify can pay you for advertising for other companies.
All you have to do is put removable stickers on your vehicle and call it a day.
Wrapify is willing to give people money because the folks on your route can see what you’re advertising.
31. Get a Part-Time Job
Maybe your full-time job just isn’t cutting it.
Then it might be time to supplement your primary income with a part-time job.
If you have time to spare, you can get side hustles to bulk up your spending money.
Getting a gig on the side in addition to your current job can be exhausting.
However, if you think about your part-time job as a short-term solution, then it might not be so bad.
Let’s say your weekdays are full because you work regular office hours.
Then focus on getting weekend work. You could work as a server, bartender, or in retail.
It will be much easier to find a part-time job around the holidays because businesses usually need more hands to meet their customers’ demands.
You can also help people in moving, home repairs, etc with TaskRabbit or deliver groceries with InstaCart
32. Sell Your Old Clothes (or start your own brand)
People love to find bargains on fashion, and you can take advantage of this fact by putting up your old clothes for sale.
Selling clothes can make you a fast $1,000 in a week, especially if you have designer items on hand.
Many people actually choose to sell old clothes as their full-time career.
They source vintage clothing from thrift shops and sell them online for a profit.
You could do the same thing, except with the clothes you already have on hand.
Take a look at your closet and see what you can live without.
If you don’t know where to start, Poshmark and Mercari are excellent starting points.
These are eCommerce platforms where you can sell second-hand stuff.
Another idea is to launch your own print-on-demand store as we did with some “Destroy the Box” swag.
33. Claim your Unclaimed Funds
You might not know it, but some money might be owed to you!
You could use sites like Unclaimed.org to search for forgotten bank accounts, stocks, uncashed dividends, unclaimed insurance payments, and gift certificates you haven’t claimed.
Don’t overlook this method because Unclaimed reports that they return over $billion in unclaimed funds to their rightful owners each year!
34. Deliver food for Local Restaurants

Another way you can monetize your car is to deliver stuff to people’s homes.
You could work part-time for DoorDash and help people who don’t want to leave their homes.
Restaurants get a lot of requests for deliveries, especially these days when people are trying not to leave their houses.
Some even hire full-time employees whose sole role is to deliver orders.
But what about restaurants that don’t get a lot of delivery orders?
It wouldn’t make sense for them, from an economic standpoint, to hire dedicated delivery people.
That’s where you come in.
Apps like DoorDash and Uber Eats let ordinary people like you and me become freelance delivery people.
35. Become a Clickworker
Clickworker.com is an internet crowd-sourcing site where businesses pay ordinary folk to finish scalable tasks.
It’s an easy way to make money from your bed.
As a clickworker, you’ll be asked to do a variety of tasks, including mindless data entry, web research, and filling out forms.
Completed tasks are rewarded with cashouts through PayPal.
The best thing about becoming a clickworker is you can choose when to carry out these paid tasks.
36. Buy and Sell Domain Names
A domain name is a site’s address, and there are lots of available extensions (.com, .net, etc.)
It’ll take you some time to earn $1,000 with this method, but the pay-off can be insane sometimes [I actually sold my first ever domain in 2021 and made $1,000+ and it was basically an accident. I had put it up for sale a year earlier and forgotten all about it!]
On NameCheap, you can register domain names for as little as $0.99 and go on to sell them eventually for thousands of dollars.
Domain names as strong as Love.com have probably been snagged already, but you can still turn a profit with other domain names that have some commercial value.
Do some research, snap up possibly profitable domain names, and put them up for sale on sites like NameCheap.
37. Make Money With Stock Photography
If you enjoy photography, selling your photographs on stock photography agency sites could be an excellent way to make an extra $1000 a week.
Start by researching top agencies. Learn about their royalty structures, the types of images they look for, and how to qualify as a contributor.
Some sites where you can submit your photos to sell are Shutterstock and Adobe Stock.
38- Start A Podcast
Podcasting also has the potential for bringing in substantial income every week once you have developed an audience.
To launch a podcast you can start with simple recording equipment and a podcast host. (I host my Destroy The Box Podcast through Buzzsprout)
Podcasters make money by affiliate marketing of products through Click bank, ShareASale, and Amazon.
Money also comes in through sponsorships and advertising.
One of the largest ad networks is Midroll, another popular network is Authentic, and many podcast hosting companies have their own networks as well.

Final Thoughts – How To Make 1000 A Week
There you have it, a list of how to make 1000 in a week.
Some methods might be more realistic for you than others.
I suggest you try multiple strategies at once to maximize your earnings.
It’s not easy to come up with money that you need badly. It’ll take some dedication, but it is doable.
You may want to try to prevent this situation from happening again in the future.
Work hard to gain your financial freedom, so you never have to come up with the money for emergency situations.
And again, if you think you need mentorship or accountability with getting started, then I recommend getting connected with a business system like Legendary Marketer to help guide you.
Good luck!
