As an online business owner, it can be a lonely road.
Online we ‘meet’ others doing the same thing.
Get on email lists and interact on Twitter.
The best is when you can meet up IRL (in real life).
But the second best is hopping on video and having a chat.
I’ve dedicated my time to having at least 25 recorded conversations with other online business owners this year.
I say ‘dedicated’ because it takes intentional time to make this happen.
- Make a list.
- Reach out.
- Set up a time.
- Record the chat.
- Edit it.
- Publish it.
But the pros of doing this far outweigh the resources that it takes.
I get to build out my network and make real connections.
I may come up with new ideas.
It’s possible that we can help each other out with connections or advice.
Recording it allows us to be able to help others out there while at the same time building out our brands.
And who knows, maybe we’ll develop businesses or products together over the coming years.
So I’ll be listing these fun conversations I’m having with online business owners below as I have them.
The goal is that by the end of the year, I’ll have at least 25 of these puppies below, so check back often.
What Type of Online Business Owners?
You might ask — “what sort of online business owners will you be chatting with? That’s sort of a broad term.”
Valid point. I’ve left it broad so that I can chat with whoever I think is interesting, that I think you’ll also find interesting.
They will most likely be in the spaces I’m currently involved in.
So it will be people building online websites monetized with ads, products, and affiliate sales.
YouTube creators that have their full business there or use it as an extension of their brand.
Possibly some e-commerce folks or other unique online business opportunities.
Time will tell.

Mushfiq is growing some cool stuff. He’s been flipping websites since 2008 and has flipped more than 200 websites. He’s expanded his business to serve online website creators. Every time I turn around, he’s buying or partnering with a company to offer more services. A website brokerage, education courses, offsite deal flow, and most recently, a content agency (I saw him announce this after our interview below!
Carl Broadbent is my brother from another mother over across the ‘ole pond (Atlantic Ocean).
I have serious respect for him as a fellow event production guy. He took an idea for the Affiliate Gathering and launched the inaugural event in 2022.
Doug Cunnington is smart. Clearly. I mean, we have the same haircut!
I enjoyed his take on work and how he approaches it. But I won’t spoil it for you…
