Want to step up your microphone for gaming, conference calls, or even live broadcasts?
But not interested to spend hundreds of dollars?
This company, Tonor, sent me a mic to check out, and I was really impressed with the simplicity and quality of sound – and all for less than $50.
I must admit, I was a bit hesitant to try out the mic.
There was no way that they were going to have a good quality mic for less than $50.
I’ll admit, I was wrong.
Here’s a video of me checking out the Tonor TC-777 microphone.
The Microphone Pros:
I love that it’s a USB plug and play mic. No need for additional equipment to get it to work.
All of the accessories are included – the tripod, shock mount, and pop filter.
The quality is good enough (especially for a cheap microphone under $50!) for daily use.
It’s small enough to easily take with you to use as needed.
The Microphone Cons:
The cable is not very long (1.5 meters).
The tripod stands on a table, and you’d have to buy a separate boom arm if you wanted to be able to move closer to your mouth.
The sound quality is good, but the noise isn’t high end (again it’s a budget microphone).
The Conclusion:
If you’d like to see how this cheap microphone for under $50 compares to more expensive microphones, have a look at this graph
Want to step up your microphone game but don’t want to spend a lot?
The Tonor TC-777 is actually a solid option.
Two thumbs up.
Cheap Microphone Options
In this video I compare the sound of a Tonor TC30 microphone to a Blue Yeti microphone.
You can definitely hear the differences in the microphones.
Good luck and happy cheap microphone shopping!
